Are you an Accounting professional looking for a new challenge or to take the next step in your career?

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our clients small team located in the Northern suburbs of Brisbane. Manage a team, assist in leading a growing portfolio of clients and taking their firm to the next level.

As a senior member of the team, you will manage the branch and team, look after a range of key clients and be pro-active in finding new solutions for each client, building strong relationships and truly connecting with them. You will also review the work of others within the firm, acting as a mentor to assist in the growth of your people. 

We are looking for someone experienced, personable and supportive, to join a great team and utilise their experience to oversee a great firm and team.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Manage a branch and team, working to develop both long term
  • Responsibility for a portfolio with a wide range of clients
  • Provide comprehensive financial advice to clients, preparation or audit of financial statements, reports, tax, compliance, etc
  • Support and drive new business opportunities and develop new client networks, contributing to the overall growth and strategy of the business
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients
  • Maintain industry/market knowledge

We are looking for someone with:

  • CA/CPA Qualified with a strong accounting background
  • Ability to review work of junior accountants/bookkeepers with an eye for detail over your work and the work you review of others
  • Great client/customer service, with the ability to manage and develop strong relationships
  • Strong communicator (written and verbal) with clients and fellow team members
  • Experience with Sage/HandiTax would be highly regarded
