THE ROLE:  

As a Loan Processor, you will work alongside Senior Lending Advisors responsible for delivering on exceptional customer outcomes through the implementation of residential and commercial financing solutions.

You will work to support Senior Lending Advisors in the implementation of a customer’s financial needs, from lead to post settlement, focusing on efficient processing, assessment, and adherence to company policies and industry regulation.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Supporting Senior Lending Advisors the provision of credit assistance, ensuring alignment to the client’s best interest at all times
  • Preparation and packaging of loan submissions
    Adhere to all regulatory requirements, including ASIC regulations, NCCP, and Best Interest Duty
  • Assist Senior Lending Advisors in optimal client outcomes throughout the customer journey (lead to post settlement)
  • Requesting and verifying supporting documents
  • Attending client meetings as required
  • Liaising with stakeholders including conveyancers, valuers, settlement agents, and lenders
  • Ensuring reasonable steps are taken in the process of verification of a client’s financial position and supporting documentation
  • Verifying applications: Reviewing application details, documents, and comments to determine approval requirements and ensure high quality of submission; ordering / verifying and chasing necessary documentation
  • Maintaining the integrity of CRM databases, filing systems and customer data
  • Resolving errors at point of detection to ensure efficient customer file progression
  • Demonstrating strong knowledge of current lender policies, products, and procedures
  • Collaboration with the team and the greater LA Group.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:  

  • Experience in the banking and finance industry – Lending and Credit
  • Working knowledge of the banking industry, Australian housing market, and regulatory environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A strong track record of consistently meeting or exceeding performance metrics
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills.
