Job Description

You are an ambitious individual looking for the next step in your career in a dynamic and fast paced environment, within the financial and credit analysis arena. Your experience has been gained from working in a bank; finance company or specialist lender. You want to be challenged and apply your experience as a hands-on team senior at a growing and innovative specialist lender.

 

Your day to day responsibilities will involve:

  • Relationship focused and customer facing role, serving as the liaison point between Sales and Credit;
  • You will work with sales to structure and price deals and prepare submissions for senior credit approval;
  • Quality checks on lending submissions, confirming they meet requirements and performing or reviewing and analysing credit pricing;
  • Interpreting valuations and interfacing with valuers and clients to gain clarity and determine risks and risk mitigants;
  • Pricing of new deals using our pricing models;
  • Conduct video conference interviews with all applicants prior to sign off;
  • Managing the pipeline of work;
  • Where applicable supervising in house valuations performed utilising our propriety tool;
  • Supporting the Head of Lending and settlements to document and close new lending deals;
  • Manage our proprietary loan tracking tool;
  • Reporting directly to the Head of Lending as a credit team member;
  • Manage all redraws; variations and refinancing clients;
  • Practice sound credit assessment, lending decisions and accurate account management.

 

To be successful in this role, you must be:

  • Skilled in PC based software particularly very strong Excel modelling skills;
  • Proficient at expressing yourself clearly – both written and oral expression;
  • Sound understanding of the finance industry and ideally specialist funding;
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving and highly analytical;
  • Familiarity with the following industries will be highly desirable: banking, mortgage broking, financial planning, accounting, real estate property management, equipment rental;
  • Demonstrated success at negotiating debt finance transactions between risk/credit and sales.
