Position Title: Head of Credit

Sydney CBD

What we are looking for in you:

  • You have 10+ years experience in the financial services / non-bank lending industry
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment
  • Experience managing a pipeline of clients with multiple tasks & deadlines
  • Professional, organised, able to work autonomously
  • Be driven and self-motivated to exceed targets and strive for excellence

Head of Credit

  • You have a high degree of competency in computer and web applications
  • You have excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Attention to detail with excellent customer service knowledge
  • You will have strong stakeholder management skills as it is important to build and maintain strong
    working relationships with the internal and external stakeholders
  • Your proven analytical skills will be complimented by your ability to thrive in a fast paced and
    demanding environment
  • Ability to interpret financial statements, and have a solid ability to assess risk, while navigating
    commercial outcomes and thinking strategically
  • Experience in any one of the following fields; accounting, cash flow lending, property-backed
    lending or other real estate experience
  • Identify and provide solutions within credit policy/procedures
  • Lead and participate in credit process improvement initiatives to meet key operational business
    needs
  • Lead continuous improvement within the business by identifying opportunities to improve
    processes or adjust risk appetite settings

What will you be doing:

The purpose of the role is to lead and collaboratively with a team of senior credit signatories and
business stakeholders to structure and approve transactions. You will analyse and approve new and
existing loan appliations, whilst working with business stakeholders to deliver commercial outcomes
and efficient turnarounds. This role will also have you actively involved in initiatives to develop policy
and enhance the overall credit risk framework.

Naturally, you will possess strong organisational skills and attention to detail, coupled with your ability
to multi-task and liaise with various stakeholders. Your proven analytical skills will be complimented
by your ability to thrive in a fast paced and demanding environment.

will display resilience and the ability to defend your view. Main responsibilities include, but are not
limited to:

  • Lead and manage the Credit team and provide timely turnaround of all applications within agreed
    time frames and service level agreements
  • Act as a leader in the company
  • Provide training and mentorship to jthe Credit team and junior credit analysts
  • Lead and manage the assessment of home loans applications within the credit risk appetite and
    decision applications within your delegated lending authority
  • Manage a pipeline of applications taking the customer on a seamless journey from Application
    through to Unconditional Approval
  • Ensure all risk and compliance standards are maintained
  • Meet the quality and performance expectations set out for the role
  • Support your colleagues and contribute to the performance of your team and leadership team

Head of Credit

  • Be able to work autonomously and demonstrate attention to detail, including having strong data
    entry
  • Have the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment whilst also adding to the
